MEMORIES: New wordart freebie plus halloween pics

Hi! Hope you're all having a great day! I'm enjoying some quiet time while the kids are watching a movie. I've gotta take advantage of the quiet time while I can get it. LOL. As promised, here are some pics of the kids in their halloween costumes. I just love how they turned out. Does anyone here use Picnik to edit your photos? I love Picnik and have been using it now for about 2 years. It's a great way to add something special to your photos. To get the effect used on these pics I used the effect named Cinema Scope and the a matte vignette in white. I just love the magical feel it gives the pics. What do you think?

CLUSTER WORDART

Well... it's another dreary Monday morning in my neck of the world. I was awoken at 6:15 this morning to the sounds of howling winds and rain beating against my window. YUCK!!! Aiden was so freaked out by the noise that he refused to go back to sleep. He's been doing so well this last week and now i'm afraid that this has thrown him off again. Oh well.

I've been feeling under the weather the past week or so. I'm still not fully recovered yet but I am feeling better. I had some time yesterday to catch up on some emails and some design work. The hubby took control of the kids and kept them busy for most of the day so I could have some quiet time. Love you Hubby!

On Saturday I made a trip to Walmart to get Halloween costumes for the kids. Emma is going to be a fairy princess. She has a beautiful little dress with a crown, a septor, earrings and a ring. Aiden was supposed to be a pirate but I couldn't find a costume to fit, so he's now a panda bear. So cute. Later today i'm going to dress them up in their costumes and try to get some pictures taken to send home to the family. If that works out, i'll try and get them posted tomorrow or the next day.

MONDAY MORNING MADNESS: Plus a new wordart freebie!

Hi All! Hope ya had a great weekend! Mine was quiet. Didn't do much except clean, organize, and spend time with the family. The weather was sucky so we stayed inside most of the weekend. It's supposed to be rainy, foggy, and yucky for the next few days too. I wanted to get the kids out for a few walks before the weather turned cold again but not with rain. Ain't gonna happen! LOL!

Saturday morning I spent most of it upstairs in the kids rooms going through their clothes. I was boxing up what they'd outgrown and what they'd worn this summer. There's a local kids consignment store here that i'm going to take it too and see if it can sell. If not, i'll probally post it online. I've got a huge box belonging to Emma and one almost equally as big for Aiden. When the kids nap today, I have to go downstairs to the basement and go through some more clothes that I have down there. I also have to get through their toys and baby stuff this week to get that ready to sell too. It's just taking up space in my house so it's time to go. I have a toddler bed, 2 mattresses that fit both a crib and toddler bed, a diaper genie, several mobiles and crib stuff, LOTS of toys (which i'll be donating to our local Childrens Hospital), 2 kids rockers, plus a big box of stuff that i'm not sure what it contains.

For the rest of this week i'll also be going through cabinets, drawers, boxes and bins to see what needs to be thrown to the garbage, what to keep, what to donate, and what to sell. Every year before Christmas I do this to get rid of some of the junk we've accumulated over the year. We've been in our house now for almost a year so it's time.

Yesterday while the kids napped, the Hubby and I got to watch a movie. It was great to have some alone time with him. We don't get enough of that. He cooked us a great supper, we gave the kids baths, watched the Simpsons Halloween episode and got the kids to bed. Hey... can you believe that the Simpsons have been on the air for 20 years. I remember the forst time I saw the show. Boy... do I feel old. LOL.

In between all the organizing madness, I hope to get a little designing done this week. I'm working on a few new goodies that I'm sure you'll love.

BEWARE

Hi! Hope you're having a great morning. Mine is pretty uneventful so far. I just got the kids their breakfast and now they're watching a movie. It's so funny because it isn't even halloween yet and the kids are watching a christmas movie. LOL. Whatever keeps them happy and quiet! LOL.

Has anyone watched the new show "Eastwick"? It was on last night and i've gotta say, i've been watching it since it started and it's really good. It's based on the movie The Witches of Eastwick. And... for those of you like me who are HUGE Twilight fans, Jack Huston who plays Royce King in Eclipse is on it. He's a hottie! Don't like his character in Eclipse but definately crushing on him. That accent is to die for. I always was a sucker for a sexy accent. LOL.

I can't wait until tonight... VAMPIRE DIARIES and Flash Forward! 2 of my newest favorite shows! Stefan "reveals" himself to Elena tonight. Who has read the books? I've read them 3 times now and love them. I am totally happy about the casting of both Stefan and Damon. When I was redaing the books, I was actually picturing Ian Somerhalder as Damon. Freaky hey?

Well... gotta run and get some housework finished. Gotta vacuum and sweep the main level, then unload the diswasher and get things organized for supper. Here is another halloween wordart. Enjoy!

It's My Anniversary today! Plus a new wordart freebie.

9 years ago today, in a small town in Newfoundland, in an even smaller church, I married my best friend! It was a beautiful sunny day with clear blue skies and the temperature was 22 degrees. It was a perfect day for an Autumn wedding. I can't believe that it's been 9 years! WOW! Where does the time go. Here are a few pics from my special day!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN... new wordart.

We had a big dinner yesterday and it was yummy! Turkey, veggies, stuffing, cranberries.. oh yum! After we ate dinner, I put the kids down for their naps and me and my Bro went to the mall to do a little shopping. Everytime he comes to visit he buys the kids something new so we headed out to Toys R'Us to find something. With Emma and Aiden it's best to buy them something similar or exactly alike so they don't fight over it. We found the perfect thing for them... plush chairs! They're so adorable too. Emma has a pink Disney Princess chair because she's all about the Princess stuff. Aiden has a red Disney Cars chair with Steve McQueen on it. They love their chairs and spent all evening playing with them. Emma even wanted to take hers to bed. So cute.

My brother is leaving to go back today at around 10:30. The kids are going to be so sad that he's leaving. Hopefully he'll get back to visit soon. It was so great to have him here and i'll miss him too. Sniff, sniff, sniff.

I plan on spending the rest of the day cleaning up and playing with the kids and if time permits, i'll try and fit in a little designing too.

HAPPY HAUNTING!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend. Today is a holiday for most of us in Canada. It's our Thanksgiving so from me to all of you.... Happy Thanksgiving. In a few hours we'll be having a huge dinner which consists of turkey and stuffing, cranberries, veggies and for desert we're having chocolate cupcakes with rainbow sprinkles. YUM-O! We don't eat pumpkin pie in my house... we don't like it so we figured that cupcakes were a good substitute. LOL.

My brother is here to celebrate the holiday with us and I am so happy to see him. The kids went crazy when he got here. Emma loves her Uncey Ellen (his name is Eldon). So cute! We're going to do a little shopping after we eat dinner, just him and I. It's been a while since we spent any time together so my wonderful Hubby is going to take care of the kids so I can spend the day with my bro! Great Hubby I got there! lol.

Every Thanksgiving as we eat our dinner we talk about what we are thankful for in our lives. This year I am most thankful for a loving and healthy family. They are my life and I love them very much. I am thankful to live in a free country where I can be whoever I want to be and not be persecuted for my beliefs. I am also thankful for all of my friends out in Digi-land!!!!! You all rock and you know it... lol.

IT's FINALLY FALL: Plus, this is the last day to win my Blogwear

Hi! It's Friday again! Yay! For us here in Canada, this is our Thanksgiving weekend and I am so excited because my brother is driving almost 10 hours to be here with us for the long weekend. He should be arriving here around 3 in the afternoon on Satuurday. I can't wait to see him. The last time he was here was back in February. I'm soooo excited.

On Saturday we are going to take the kids to Bluegrass Nurseries for the annual Pumpkin Festival. We tried to get there last year but we missed it by one day. This time, i've got it all planned out so there's no way i'm gonna miss it. They have pumpkin carving contests, a huge corn maze, lots of activities for the kids, even coloring contests. They should have soooooo much fun. And i'll try and take lots of pictures too.

ENCOURAGE YOUR CHILDREN TO DREAM

Hi All. Hope you had a great nights sleep last night. Me, not so much. I don't know what it is with Aiden but that boy just doesn't want to sleep through the night. Since he was born 2 years ago, there has only been maybe 6-8 times that he's slept all night. I've tried putting hime to be earlier, putting him to bed later, cutting out naps, moving his bed, changing bedrooms, letting him sleep with me, me sleeping with him, him sleeping with his sister, him sleeping on the couch, etc, etc, etc... nothing seems to work. Boy am I tired. LOL.

Today i'm going to try and organize some of my design stuff and see what exactly it is that i've got so I can determine what else I need to complete my stash again. This darn computer crash has been a real pain in my butt! Oh the torture. LOL. Seriously, i'm going to try and start a new kit soon so i've gotta get organized today. I am a featured designer member at ScrapbookFlair and I need to create my designer kit for the site. I had the kit almost completed but lost it when the old computer bit the dust. It was cute too.

HUG YOUR CHILDREN: Plus win my new Blogwear!

Happy Monday Morning! Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was quiet. It was yucky outside on Saturday so we stayed in and watched movies and had a "picnic" with the kids. We spread a blanket on the floor, turned on the fireplace and had snacks. It was sweet and the kids had fun. After the kids went to bed, the Hubby and I had a few glasses of wine and watched the movie Jennifer's Body. It sucked! We only watched about an hour of it and gave up and went to bed. I'm going to try and watch the rest while the kids nap today though. I just can't leave a movie unwatched. LOL. On Sunday we went to Walmart and did a little shopping. We bought a chicken to have for supper and it was yummy. We cooked it in our rotisserie. After supper, we gave the kids their baths, got their jammies on and had some quiet time before bed.

This weekend I also had some time to finish up my new Blogwear sets. I was hard at work trying to get my blog all decorated with my new Blogwear set, AUTUMN HARVEST. What do ya think? I love it! TGIF! It's been a long week for me and i'm so glad that the weekend is almost here. What i'm not glad about is the weather forecast for the next few days. SNOW!!! Can you believe it... SNOW!!!
