BIG CHANGES: New name, new blog, new look!

Hello Everyone! It's so great to be back! I took a break from designing and scrapping when my family moved 6000 miles across the country from Alberta back to our home province of Newfoundland. (A beautiful island on the most eastern part of Canada). With the stresses of the move, finding a place to live, and just getting "comfortable" with being back home again, I kinda lost my design mojo. After a little break and a lot of life changes, I decided that it was time for a name change and a fresh new style. So.... I would like to introduce you to INSPIRED DESIGNS BY CRYSTAL!
I still plan on offering some great wordart freebies and maybe even some little extra special gifts for you along the way. I'm still working out the kinks with my new blog, my new style and my new/old store. I hope that you will all continue to read my new blog, snag my freebies, and buy my products. I will have lots of new stuff for you soon!

RETIRING SALE.... not me, just some of my stuff!

I'm having a huge sale this month at Pretty Scrappy!!!! I'm retiring over 65 of my kits, brag book albums, quick page albums, bookmark sets, as well as my christmas accessories. I'M BACK... almost...

Hi Everyone! I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas! Mine was amazing! It's so good to be back home in Newfoundland. The kids are loving being back here with their families and being able to spend the holidays surrounded by them. We had a great Christmas at my parents house. On Christmas morning the kids were awake at 8 and we started opeing their stockings. Lots of awesome toys and goodies for them. Once the stockings were opened and out of the way, we attacked the presents. The kids had so much fun ripping open the presents and making a huge mess. LOL. The only sucky thing about it all was that my dad was working offshore so he missed the whole thing. We took lots of pics for him though. Hopefully i'll be able to get some of them posted here for you to see. We tried to spend as much time with family during the holidays as possible but it was hard having to drive 2 hours each way to get to most of them. Now that we are living here, we'll get to see them so much. It's awesome!

I love my mother so much but there is only so much of living with her that I could handle... LOL... so with that being said... we found a great house to rent and moved out last week. The kids are loving having their own bedrooms again. The house is a typical bungalow style with 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, huge living/dining area/kitchen with real hardwood floors. In the basement level there is a huge playroom with hardwood floors for the kids (which is packed full of their toys and stuff) and lots of storage space. Gotta love the storage. I'll try and get some pics too for you to see soon. Once I get everything unpacked and organized it'll seem more and more like home. I miss my house in Airdrie though. But... this is great for us now. Maybe next year we'll work on getting a new house here.

I'm trying to get things in my store organized... I have so much to do to prepare for my new sale... check back Monday to see what's on sale.... IT's A BIG ONE!!!!

MIA for a while... plus WIN MY STORE and new wordart freebies!

Well... It's been a while! So much has happened the past few weeks... where to start. First, we were all sick in the Sweeney household for about 3 weeks. Just when it seemed that we were getting better, we would get hit with the flu again!

Then 2 weeks ago, my Hubby got laid off from his job that he's had for the last 5 years! THAT SUCKS!!! He's been looking for a new job but hasn't been able to find anything here. We've weighed all of our options and have come to the conclusion that we would pack everything up and head back home to Newfoundland. For those of you who arent familliar with Canadian geographical locations, Newfoundland is an Island on the East Coast of Canada. The population is about 508,000 people and it's one of the most beautiful places in the whole world. Newfoundland has the oldest city in North America, St. John's at over 500 years old. We were both born there and grew up there until we were in our early 20's when we both travelled the country. After being here in Calgary for 5 years, it's time to take the kids and bring them home to their families! I am so excited but nervous at the same time. It's gonna be great being home for Christmas!

We are scheduled to fly out of Calgary on Tuesday, December 8th. So, the past few days we've been trying to pack everything up and get things organized to put in storage. It's been so busy and so hard trying to pack 5 years of your life in a few suitcases to take home. Slowly but surely, i'll get it all done on time. LOL. I decided to have a last minute moving sale and was contacted by a single mom who is very low income. She wanted to take the things I had for free and wanted to buy somethings too. I was so moved by her story that I decided that I would give her everything! Sometimes it's better to give than to receive. At least now she'll have some things to help furnish her apartment and to give her kids a great Christmas.

So... due to the move, my internet access is going to be limited for the next few weeks at least. As soon as we get things straightened away and get moved into our own place I should be back up and running! In the meanwhile, here is a whole bunch of wordart freebies for you. Good Morning All. Hope you're having a great day today. I was up before 6:30 again today after very little sleep last night. Aiden is still very congested and is finding it hard to sleep, so.... Like all you moms out there know, if the kids don't sleep, neither does Mom. LOL.

Today i'm working on some calendars that i'm giving my family for Christmas. I bought the most beautiful set from Shabby Princess that I just love. I "put them together" yesterday and now I have to add the pics today and send them for printing. Happy Monday Morning to you all! Sorry I haven't been around this past week but i've been a little under the weather and so have the kiddos. I'm not back to 100% yet but i'm getting close. Hi! Hope you're all having a great day! I'm enjoying some quiet time while the kids are watching a movie. I've gotta take advantage of the quiet time while I can get it. LOL. As promised, here are some pics of the kids in their halloween costumes. I just love how they turned out. Does anyone here use Picnik to edit your photos? I love Picnik and have been using it now for about 2 years. It's a great way to add something special to your photos. To get the effect used on these pics I used the effect named Cinema Scope and the a matte vignette in white. I just love the magical feel it gives the pics. What do you think?

CLUSTER WORDART

Well... it's another dreary Monday morning in my neck of the world. I was awoken at 6:15 this morning to the sounds of howling winds and rain beating against my window. YUCK!!! Aiden was so freaked out by the noise that he refused to go back to sleep. He's been doing so well this last week and now i'm afraid that this has thrown him off again. Oh well.

I've been feeling under the weather the past week or so. I'm still not fully recovered yet but I am feeling better. I had some time yesterday to catch up on some emails and some design work. The hubby took control of the kids and kept them busy for most of the day so I could have some quiet time. Love you Hubby!

On Saturday I made a trip to Walmart to get Halloween costumes for the kids. Emma is going to be a fairy princess. She has a beautiful little dress with a crown, a septor, earrings and a ring. Aiden was supposed to be a pirate but I couldn't find a costume to fit, so he's now a panda bear. So cute. Later today i'm going to dress them up in their costumes and try to get some pictures taken to send home to the family. If that works out, i'll try and get them posted tomorrow or the next day.

MONDAY MORNING MADNESS: Plus a new wordart freebie!

Hi All! Hope ya had a great weekend! Mine was quiet. Didn't do much except clean, organize, and spend time with the family. The weather was sucky so we stayed inside most of the weekend. It's supposed to be rainy, foggy, and yucky for the next few days too. I wanted to get the kids out for a few walks before the weather turned cold again but not with rain. Ain't gonna happen! LOL!

Saturday morning I spent most of it upstairs in the kids rooms going through their clothes. I was boxing up what they'd outgrown and what they'd worn this summer. There's a local kids consignment store here that i'm going to take it too and see if it can sell. If not, i'll probally post it online. I've got a huge box belonging to Emma and one almost equally as big for Aiden. When the kids nap today, I have to go downstairs to the basement and go through some more clothes that I have down there. I also have to get through their toys and baby stuff this week to get that ready to sell too. It's just taking up space in my house so it's time to go. I have a toddler bed, 2 mattresses that fit both a crib and toddler bed, a diaper genie, several mobiles and crib stuff, LOTS of toys (which i'll be donating to our local Childrens Hospital), 2 kids rockers, plus a big box of stuff that i'm not sure what it contains.

For the rest of this week i'll also be going through cabinets, drawers, boxes and bins to see what needs to be thrown to the garbage, what to keep, what to donate, and what to sell. Every year before Christmas I do this to get rid of some of the junk we've accumulated over the year. We've been in our house now for almost a year so it's time.

Yesterday while the kids napped, the Hubby and I got to watch a movie. It was great to have some alone time with him. We don't get enough of that. He cooked us a great supper, we gave the kids baths, watched the Simpsons Halloween episode and got the kids to bed. Hey... can you believe that the Simpsons have been on the air for 20 years. I remember the forst time I saw the show. Boy... do I feel old. LOL.

In between all the organizing madness, I hope to get a little designing done this week. I'm working on a few new goodies that I'm sure you'll love.

Hi! Hope you're having a great morning. Mine is pretty uneventful so far. I just got the kids their breakfast and now they're watching a movie. It's so funny because it isn't even halloween yet and the kids are watching a christmas movie. LOL. Whatever keeps them happy and quiet! LOL.

Has anyone watched the new show "Eastwick"? It was on last night and i've gotta say, i've been watching it since it started and it's really good. It's based on the movie The Witches of Eastwick. And... for those of you like me who are HUGE Twilight fans, Jack Huston who plays Royce King in Eclipse is on it. He's a hottie! Don't like his character in Eclipse but definately crushing on him. That accent is to die for. I always was a sucker for a sexy accent. LOL.

I can't wait until tonight... VAMPIRE DIARIES and Flash Forward! 2 of my newest favorite shows! Stefan "reveals" himself to Elena tonight. Who has read the books? I've read them 3 times now and love them. I am totally happy about the casting of both Stefan and Damon. When I was redaing the books, I was actually picturing Ian Somerhalder as Damon. Freaky hey?

Well... gotta run and get some housework finished. Gotta vacuum and sweep the main level, then unload the diswasher and get things organized for supper. Here is another halloween wordart. Enjoy!

9 years ago today, in a small town in Newfoundland, in an even smaller church, I married my best friend! It was a beautiful sunny day with clear blue skies and the temperature was 22 degrees. It was a perfect day for an Autumn wedding. I can't believe that it's been 9 years! WOW! Where does the time go. Here are a few pics from my special day!

We had a big dinner yesterday and it was yummy! Turkey, veggies, stuffing, cranberries.. oh yum! After we ate dinner, I put the kids down for their naps and me and my Bro went to the mall to do a little shopping. Everytime he comes to visit he buys the kids something new so we headed out to Toys R'Us to find something. With Emma and Aiden it's best to buy them something similar or exactly alike so they don't fight over it. We found the perfect thing for them... plush chairs! They're so adorable too. Emma has a pink Disney Princess chair because she's all about the Princess stuff. Aiden has a red Disney Cars chair with Steve McQueen on it. They love their chairs and spent all evening playing with them. Emma even wanted to take hers to bed. So cute.

My brother is leaving to go back today at around 10:30. The kids are going to be so sad that he's leaving. Hopefully he'll get back to visit soon. It was so great to have him here and i'll miss him too. Sniff, sniff, sniff.

I plan on spending the rest of the day cleaning up and playing with the kids and if time permits, i'll try and fit in a little designing too.

HAPPY HAUNTING!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend. Today is a holiday for most of us in Canada. It's our Thanksgiving so from me to all of you.... Happy Thanksgiving. In a few hours we'll be having a huge dinner which consists of turkey and stuffing, cranberries, veggies and for desert we're having chocolate cupcakes with rainbow sprinkles. YUM-O! We don't eat pumpkin pie in my house... we don't like it so we figured that cupcakes were a good substitute. LOL.

My brother is here to celebrate the holiday with us and I am so happy to see him. The kids went crazy when he got here. Emma loves her Uncey Ellen (his name is Eldon). So cute! We're going to do a little shopping after we eat dinner, just him and I. It's been a while since we spent any time together so my wonderful Hubby is going to take care of the kids so I can spend the day with my bro! Great Hubby I got there! lol.

Every Thanksgiving as we eat our dinner we talk about what we are thankful for in our lives. This year I am most thankful for a loving and healthy family. They are my life and I love them very much. I am thankful to live in a free country where I can be whoever I want to be and not be persecuted for my beliefs. I am also thankful for all of my friends out in Digi-land!!!!! You all rock and you know it... lol.

Hi! It's Friday again! Yay! For us here in Canada, this is our Thanksgiving weekend and I am so excited because my brother is driving almost 10 hours to be here with us for the long weekend. He should be arriving here around 3 in the afternoon on Satuurday. I can't wait to see him. The last time he was here was back in February. I'm soooo excited.

On Saturday we are going to take the kids to Bluegrass Nurseries for the annual Pumpkin Festival. We tried to get there last year but we missed it by one day. This time, i've got it all planned out so there's no way i'm gonna miss it. They have pumpkin carving contests, a huge corn maze, lots of activities for the kids, even coloring contests. They should have soooooo much fun. And i'll try and take lots of pictures too.

Hi All. Hope you had a great nights sleep last night. Me, not so much. I don't know what it is with Aiden but that boy just doesn't want to sleep through the night. Since he was born 2 years ago, there has only been maybe 6-8 times that he's slept all night. I've tried putting hime to be earlier, putting him to bed later, cutting out naps, moving his bed, changing bedrooms, letting him sleep with me, me sleeping with him, him sleeping with his sister, him sleeping on the couch, etc, etc, etc... nothing seems to work. Boy am I tired. LOL.

Today i'm going to try and organize some of my design stuff and see what exactly it is that i've got so I can determine what else I need to complete my stash again. This darn computer crash has been a real pain in my butt! Oh the torture. LOL. Seriously, i'm going to try and start a new kit soon so i've gotta get organized today. I am a featured designer member at ScrapbookFlair and I need to create my designer kit for the site. I had the kit almost completed but lost it when the old computer bit the dust. It was cute too.

Happy Monday Morning! Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was quiet. It was yucky outside on Saturday so we stayed in and watched movies and had a "picnic" with the kids. We spread a blanket on the floor, turned on the fireplace and had snacks. It was sweet and the kids had fun. After the kids went to bed, the Hubby and I had a few glasses of wine and watched the movie Jennifer's Body. It sucked! We only watched about an hour of it and gave up and went to bed. I'm going to try and watch the rest while the kids nap today though. I just can't leave a movie unwatched. LOL. On Sunday we went to Walmart and did a little shopping. We bought a chicken to have for supper and it was yummy. We cooked it in our rotisserie. After supper, we gave the kids their baths, got their jammies on and had some quiet time before bed.

This weekend I also had some time to finish up my new Blogwear sets. I was hard at work trying to get my blog all decorated with my new Blogwear set, AUTUMN HARVEST. What do ya think? I love it! TGIF! It's been a long week for me and i'm so glad that the weekend is almost here. What i'm not glad about is the weather forecast for the next few days. SNOW!!! Can you believe it... SNOW!!! It's only October and were getting snow all weekend... up to 5cm tomorrow. I was going to take the kids to the park on Sunday and let them run around and be crazy, now it looks like they'll be wearing snowsuits and boots!

All this week i've been very busy tring to recover as much of my stuff that I lost when my computer crashed. I'm no where close to that but at least I got a good start on it. Happy Monday Morning! Hope that everyone had a great weekend! My weekend was awesome. I think that I have the best Hubby in the whole wide world! Emmett knew that I was upset and lost without my computer. I was using his work laptop but it just wasn't the same. So... on Saturday we went shopping and he bought me a new computer! I am sooo happy! It's an E-machine and I love it. It has a huge 21 inch flat screen monitor and a compact little CPU. It's so pretty. It's a real girly looking computer. LOL. It has tons of memory and a fast processor. I love it! He's going to take my old computer this week and see if the data can be recovered. If not, i'll have to get alot of new programs to replace the ones I lost. I really hope it can be recovered.

Good morning all! TGIF! I have been totally lost since my computer crashed! It's really silly but I never realised how much time I actually spent designing and scrapping, now that I can't do either. Usually in the morning, while the kids are having breakfast I check my email, update my blog, check out my favorite digi-scarp sites, and read a few of my favorite blogs. Once the kids are cleaned up from breakfast, they usually watch some cartoons on Playhouse Disney channel and I spend some time designing. Then throughout the day I do a little here and there. Especially when the kids are napping. I can't do that now and it's drving me crazy!!!

Seeing I have all this extra time, I have been checking out lots of blogs and I must say I have found some good ones. I thought it would be nice to let you know where some of these are. COMPUTER CRASH

I just wanted to let you all know that i'm not going to be around for a while. Yesterday while transferring files to my new external hard-drive, my computer crashed! I've lost almost everything. I was able to successfully transfer alot of stuff but i've lost pics and videos of the kids. My heart is broken! My commercial use stash is gone, all of my wordart that I just created, all of my new software, my scrapbook layouts, a new kit I was working on... all gone. I'm going to take my computer to the repair shop next week and hopefully I can recover the lost data. If not, I'll have to start from scratch and start saving for a new computer. I feel so lost.

I'll try and keep you posted as to when i'll be back but until I can get a new computer, there will be no new freebies for a while. Sorry.

Well it's another Monday morning! It's funny how we get one every week. LOL. But seriously, I hope you had a great weekend. Mine was quiet. Didn't do much. Didn't go anywhere. Just stayed home with the family and relaxed. Watched some movies, did a little cleaning and some cooking. Just simple stuff.

I finished up another kit too. This one is named PUNKIN PICKER and has a halloween/autumn type theme. Lots of black and orange. I think it's really cute. I also created a quick page album to correspond with the kit. You should be seeing it released in about 2 weeks or so. I will be releasing the last kit in my Autumn series on Friday. Hi All! Hope you're having a great morning thus far! Mine has been pretty quiet. The kids got up, ate breakfast and have started watching Finding Nemo. They love that movie and have probally seen it a dozen times now. As long as it keeps them quiet so I get get some computer time, that makes me happy.

I've been meaning to tell you about Emma and her "school". She is so sweet and smart for being not quite 3 1/2 yet. She understands the concept of going to school, taking her lunch and a backpack, and she knows that she'll learn her ABC's. She puts on her backpack and tells me that she's going to school. We kiss, hug, and say goodbye, then she hides in the front porch for a minute, then she comes running saying "I'm home from school Mom"! I ask her what she learned in school and she replys "ABC's". It's sooo sweet. So, I decided I would turn the dining room into a school room for her. I went to IKEA the other day and bought her a standing blackboard with a pack of chalk, some new crayons, paper, and erasable/washable markers. I set up the chalkboard and she took her place at the table. We then spent the next few hours playing school. She loved it!!! And it's so great too because she is actually learning her ABC's. Aiden gets a big kick out of the whole thing too but mostly he wants to make a mess. Boys! LOL.
We have recess and they get up and run around, then after some more ABC's, we have lunch. They're having a blast!

I decided that I wouldmake some flash cards that she could use to help her learn her letters. Here is a little preview of what i've created. They're on sale in my store now for 25% OFF too! Aren't they adorable. I've created them 2 inches wide by 3 inches high so they can be easily printed at home. And of course at 300 PPI for optimum print quality. So this brings us to yet again, another wordart freebie. This is a request from William. He said that he had seen this wordart on a layout that he just loved and wanted to use it for himself but didn't know who the original creator was. He sent me a copy of the layout and wanted me to make the wordart for him. This is my version. It is different enough from the original but similar in the composition. Hope you like it. Well... I'm felling better today! Yay for me! Yesterday wasn't so bad. I got good rest and spent some quality with the kidlets. When they went down for their naps, I finished up my new kit named AUTUMN HARVEST. It's the 3rd and final kit in my AUTUMN Series. And i've gotta say, it's beautiful! It's similar to Autumn Splendor in regards to the bright color palette, but it's soooo much richer and has more elements too. It is now my all time favorite of all the kits I've created! And of course, i've created a beautiful QP Album to correspond with the kit. I'll probally be releasing it next week.

Hi All! Hope you had a great weekend! Mine sucked! I was sick most of the weekend. I had planned on taking the kids to the park to have some pictures taken but I was just to sick and tired to leave the house. Saturday I spent most of the day confined to the couch and Sunday, I could barely sit up in the chair. I'm feeling much better today though, thankfully. I got some good rest last night so thats a plus! I just hope that today I can eat something good to settle my tummy.

BUS STOP

Well... today was off to an early start... 5 AM!!! Emma has been sleeping in my room since she got sick because I have the ensuite bathroom and it was just easier for her getting there then having to run down the hall whenever she had to go. So, for the last 4 nights she has been sleeping with her Daddy in my bed and i've been sleeping with the cat in her bed. Well, this morning her Daddy had to go back to work so I went out at 5AM and got into bed with her. She wouldn't go back to sleep so by 5:30 we were downstairs having toast and milk. It was the first thing she really ate in 4 days. She was so hungry. I wanted to get her to go back to bed but then Aiden woke up at 6 and wouldn't go back to sleep. So... here I am, tired and cranky but happy because my girl is on the mend. Yay Emma! I'm waiting for a hot cup of tea and some toast for myself right now and then I guess i'll start cleaning the bathrooms. YUCK!!! I usually don't clean the bathrooms becuse the Hubby says that a woman shouldn't have to put her hands in the toilet. But, they are in desperate need of a cleaning after them being sick. LOL.

I had told you about how I "lost" some of my wordart files while transferring them to my new hard-drive... well, I lost a few more than I originally thought. I had 10 back to school wordart for you all but when I checked my drive, they were gone too. Bummer. This is the only one I could find and it isn't a real good one either. I have been going through some requests from my readers so i'll have a few of those for you next week. I also have a few new wordart packs to go in my store next week. I have an adorable Autumn themed pack that will match perfectly with my new Autumn themed kits. I'll also be releasing my newest kit AUTUMN SPLENDOR on Monday. It's one of my favorite!!! I'm sure you'll love it.

WOW! What a rough couple of days! Emma has been so sick and still is. The poor little thing has had a fever for 2 days, vomiting up everything she eats, which hasn't been much and she is so tired. She has slept about 20 hours a day since she got sick. Then yesterday morning, the Hubby had to come home from work at 10AM because he was sick too. Aiden has a slight head cold. He hasn't gotten really sick yet. Cross your fingers that he doesn't! And well, then there's me... i've been the Doctor for 3 days. I'm tired and very cranky but not sick yet other than the head cold too. I don't want to get sick. If you're a Mom like me you know as well as I know, MOMS AREN'T ALLOWED TO GET SICK!!! If Mom gets sick, the world will abrupty come to an end! The earth will split open and swallow us all! It's true and you all know it! LOL. But seriously... it really complicates things if I were to get sick. The Hubby can't stay home from work to take care of me so I would have to muddle through it like the superhero I am! Yay Mom!

I LOVE HOMEWORK

I had a busy day yesterday. I didn't go anywhere, I just stayed home with the kids and played with them. Then after they had their naps, I did some cleaning. I used my new H2O on the floor. Gosh, is that thing ever good! I've cleaned the floor twice with it now and in between I used a real mop. You wouldn't believe the dirt that's still coming off the floor. It's amazing how it gets the deep down dirt on a new floor. Scary!

I'm working on a new kit for next week, the 2nd in the Autum Series. It's beautiful! I'm in the process of making some amazing QP's too. I can't wait for you to see this kit! IT's AWESOME! BACK TO SCHOOL

Hi All, Hope you're having an awesome day! Yesterday when the Hubby got home from work, we went out and picked up the rest of my groceries. I had forgotten a few things last week so I stocked up on what I missed. Then the Hubby decided that we would go to Walmart and get part of my birthday present (My birthday is on September 8th). He bought me a new 1TB External Hard-drive! Yay! So I was sooo busy last night transferring all of my digi-files onto my new hard-drive. My memory on the computer was beyond reaching a functioning capacity and was constantly crashing last week. I hope that this helps. The kids were hungry so we ended up having McDonalds for supper. Nuggets for the kids and McChicken for me. The hubby had a Quarter Pounder. It was good!

I know that I said that I would have some more Grandparent themed wordart but when transferring some of my wordart files to my new harddrive, I deleted them by mistake. Ooops! I'll tey and remake them this weekend and hopefully have them for you later. Here is the first in the Back To School Series. Enjoy.

AUTUM GLORY: New Kit, plus last day of my 50% OFF SALE

Hi all. Hope you had an awesome weekend! Mine was great. We took the kids to the Lake yesterday. It was so much fun. I tried to get some pics of us all but the batteries were almost gone in my camera and when I was able to snap some pics, the kids were always looking anywhere but at the camera. LOL. We also went to Bed, Bath, & Beyond and the Hubby bought me the H2O Mop. AWESOME!!! You wouldn't believe how much dirt came off my "clean" floor. It was disgusting to think that thats what we've be walking on and the kids have been playing on. YUCK!!!

Hello. After the Hubby got home from work yesterday, I had to go to the grocery store to get fruit, yogurt, and milk. The Hubby thought it would be a good idea to take the kids and get out of the house for a while. We bought the groceries and then we went to the Dollaramma. I just love that place. I wanted to get some new buckles for Emma and ended up spending almost $60 there! Way over my planned on $2-3 budget! LOL. I bought the kids a new ball each, a new play hat each, a book each, a Recorder/whistle/flute thingy each, etc.... The list goes on. So, ever since 6:30 this morning, I've been listening to high pitched whistles. Ouch, my head! But at least they're happy. Emma wanted to take hers to bed last night too. So cute.

I'm feeling a little better today. Not fully recovered yet but definitely on the way. I am working on a new kit today too. I finished up a beautiful Autumn themed kit that I'll be releasing on Monday. Can't wait for that one. It's named AUTUMN GLORY. It's one of my favorites. If you check back here on Monday, I'll have a little freebie to go with the kit for you all. Yay! I plan on doing 4 Autumn themed kits that you can mix and match. Hi All. I'm still sick. This cold just seems to be getting worse and worse. The poor kids are so miserable too. Poor little things. Yesterday while the kids napped, I took a nap too. I was so tired. I got to sleep for about an hour when Emma came over to my room and woke me up. It was great to get that rest but I surely needed more. After the Hubby came home, I went upstairs and lid in bed for about an hour but I couldn't sleep. By the time bedtime came I was exhausted. I fell asleep right away and thankfully, Aiden slept until almost 4AM so I got some good quality rest. He woke up again at 6:30 and I got him back to sleep until almost 8:30! THANKS AIDEN!

Hi All! Hope you're having a wonderful day! I woke up this morning, got the kids breakfast, did a little cleaning and am now trying to catch up on some email and some blogging. It's a beautiful day here in Alberta and hopefully after the Hubby gets home from work, we can take the kids swimming.

Yesterday we went to the opening of the new CrossIron Mills Mega Mall! Boy was it ever huge! It's the 2nd biggest mall in all of Alberta and it's packed full of lots of yummy high fashion stores. I can't wait to get my fall wardrobe there. For those of you who know me, you know that i'm a purse hound! It's my one fashion addiction. I've been known to drop entire paychecks (before marriage and kids) on a new purse with matching wallet! Well... I saw the mother ship calling me home yesterday! LOL. There is a Nine West store in CrossIron Mills. I just love their purses. I saw one I wanted yesterday too for only $229! i checked online to see if I could find a picture to show you but no luck. It's beautiful in brown leather and silver detailing. YUM! LOL. If you saw my purse collection, you would understand my obsession. I have always said that if I ever come into money, I would spend a whole week at Louis Vuitton buying purses. I'd have one for every day of the month! LOL.

As you know, I released my new kit FROM THIS MOMENT yesterday. Well, I wanted to make some layouts for my cousin Chris and his new wife Stephanie. They got married in The Dominican Republic a few months ago. I created the layouts 8x10 so they can be easily printed and framed. If you look closely, you'll see that they match the Brag Book Album for this kit too!

Good Morning All! Hope you slept well last night. I did, thankfully. Aiden only woke up once last night at almost 4AM but he went right back to sleep right away. Emma decided that at 2:30 she was getting in bed with us. She is so squirmy and she kicks alot too. Finally she settled down and slep until almost 7:30 so I actually got a bit of rest. Yay for me! Yesterday I finished up mu house cleaning and got half of the laundry done. I'll finish the rest while the kids are napping today. When the Hubby gets home from work, we're going out to get some top ups on the groceries. Milk, cheese, yougurt, etc... And more than likely, we'll end up having coffee too. YUMMY!

I hope that everyone had a great weekend! Mine was good. The Hubby took Thursday off from work so we spent the day shopping in the city. I finally got to go to the bookstore and get the rest of my books. I got the whole Vampire Diaries/Secret Circle Series. Plus I got book two of the Dark Powers Series. I read that one by Friday night. Then I went online from the Chapters/Indigo website and reserved my copy of book 3. It doesn't come out until April 2010. Can't wait for that one. I also ordered The Time Travellers Wife and the whole Sookie Stackhouse series too. Can't wait to get those. I watch True Blood on HBO every week and love it!!! Then I read the conclusion of the Vampire Diaries. I finished that one about 2 AM last night. I gotta start getting some sleep though instead of being up reading all night. It's starting to catch up on me. LOL.

Saturday, we went back into the city again and did some more shopping at the home improvement store. We have a few "dings" in our drywall from the kids and their toys. We bought a bucket of plaster, a trowel, plaster/drywall tape and some touch-up paint for the walls. The Hubby plastered and sanded the walls Saturday night after the kids went to bed and then painted it on Sunday while they napped. It looks really good. Today though I've gotta wash the walls down. Too many fingerprints fom the kids in some places. While the Hubby was doing his work, I decided it would be a good time for me to clean the kitchen. I washed all the cabinets, the counters, the stove, the microwave and all the countertop appliances ie: toaster, food processor, coffee maker, kettle, convection/toaster oven and slow cooker. It looks good!

Lets try this again... I hope that this whole Mediafire thing has been straightened out. I still can't believe that someone would maliciously delete all of my wordart files! Not good! I'll continue with the Grandparent themed wordart this week. I am posting the Grandfather one from last week for those of you who want it. I hope you like it.

Happy Monday Morning! Hope you all had an awesome weekend. We had a quiet weekend at home. The weather was kinda sucky all weekend so we thought it would be a great weekend to get some chores done. I cleaned the 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms upstairs, plus did all the laundry. The Hubby cleaned the carpets with the carpet shampooer and it smells wonderful now. For those of you who have dogs, you definitely know how that Dog smell sticks to the carpet. Now ours smells sooo good. We have a baby gate at the button of our stairs so the kids can't get up there unsupervised, this also helps with keeping the dog off the 2nd level too. I can deal with the main level full of dog, but not upstairs where I bathe and sleep. For those of you who know me, you know how much of a clean freak I am! I am constantly going around with the duster, vacuum, and my little cleaning basket full of goodies. With a dog, cat, 2 messy kids, and a Husband there's always so much to clean. LOL.

Once that was all done, we decided that we would go rent a few movies. For the kids, we got Beverly Hills Chihuahua. Emma just loves movies with dogs. I have been dying to see The Chronicle of Narnia: Prince Caspian so I got that one. It was awesome! I just love those movies. I have The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe on DVD so now i'll have to get this one too. While I was at the movie/bookstore, I wanted to get the second book of The Vampire Diaries but they were sold out so I got a good book named The Summoning! It was awesome. I bought it on Saturday and finished reading it at 1AM last night. I couldn't put it down. It was so well written and very suspenseful. I've gotta get the 2nd in that series too this week!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AIDEN! I can't believe that my little guy is 2 years old today! Where does the time go? It seems like only yesterday I was in the hospital and holding him in my arms for the first time. Now... he's so fast when he's running around, I can barely catch him. LOL. After the Hubby gets home from work today, I have to go to the store and pick up his birthday cake. While the kids are napping, i'm going to get the decorations up so they'll be surprised when they wake up. We aren't having a prty for him today, but next weekend we're having a pool party with all of Aiden's little buddies. It should be so much fun.

SUMMER FUN

MERRY MONDAY MORNING! I hope that everyone had an awesome weekend! Mine was great. It's a long weekend here in Alberta so the Hubby is off today too. yay! On Saturday we went out to a town near us named Cochrane. It has a beautiful river that runs through it that we took the kids to see. There were lots of families there swimming and just lounging on the banks of the river. It was so nice. The kids had so much fun! Emma of course wanted to go swimming but she didn't have a suit. She wasn't very happy about that. LOL. So... on Sunday, we took the kids over to the Airdrie Splash Park. It was so hot so and the water was just the perfect temperature. They had a blast. I took a few pictures so check them out below.

I've been trying to get some good summer pics so I can scrap a few pages using my new summer wordart. I definately gotta use todays freebie for sure. Enjoy!

SUMMER LOVIN

Hi! Well... I finished the NIGHT WORLD books and I must say I really enjoyed them. It was well written and very interesting. I definately recommend it to you. If you're at all like me, once I start reading a book, I find any excuse I can to sneak away for a few minutes and read a few pages. I usually carry the book with me where ever I go in the house like a security blanket. LOL. It drives the Hubby nuts though. LOL. I have to get THE VAMPIRE DIARIES today!

I still feel like I need a good TWILIGHT fix too. I was on Angies Blog (IKEA GODDESS) a few days ago and she recommended a fanfic named I Love LA. Click HERE to read. It's about a 33 year old actress/singer who falls in love with the man himself, Rob Pattinson. I was a bit apprensive about the whole "real" person story but thought i'd give it a read, well.... it is very steamy! No, not steamy, pornographic! BUT AWESOME!!! If you are the type of person who is easily offended, this story is definately not for you. There's lots of "four letter words" and "mature" content. It's amazingly well written and the author also gives you a playlist of songs that she wants to to listen to while reading the story to get the full effect. AWESOME!!! If you are a real RPattz fan, you'll love this story. I have a few chapters left to read so hopefully later today i'll get a chance to finish it. If you're intersted in reading other Twlight themed fanfiction go to www.fanfiction.net Some of the stories aren't that good, or well written either but if you push through them, you'll be sure to find some gems. My favorite one yet has to be "AN UNTITLED CONTINUATION OF THE TWILIGHT SAGA". Click HERE to read. It continues on from where Breaking Dawn ends off. It's really good and suitable for all ages.

Today i'm taking the kids and heading into Calgary for the day. I have to go to Chapters to get my new books first. Then we're going for lunch and possibly the splash park. Still trying to round up some friends to meet us there. Should be a great day. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, you get the drift. Haha!

Happy Monday Morning! I hope you all had an awesome weekend! We did too! It was so great. On Saturday morning we got up and took the kids out to McDonalds for breakfast. I know we had planned on taking the kids to IKEA but the streets around it was closed off so we couldn't get in there. McDonalds was the closest so we ate there. Aiden stuffed himself, as usual. LOL. Emma was really into dipping her english muffin in ketchup and then wiping it off with a napkin. Gross! She wouldn't eat it but she had lots of fun. We then spent the rest of the day shopping. It was soooooo hot we decided that we would stick to places with lots of AC. All in all we had a great day. I didn't get to get my shelves so a trip to IKEA is still planned for next weekend. We had a great bbq for supper and then watched HOTEL FOR DOGS. It was a really cute movie and anything with dogs is perfect for my kids. They love dogs. Sunday was a lazy day. It was cooler, only reaching 26 degrees so we decided to bake some cookies and cook a big supper. I made chocolate chip cookies and macaroons. The macaroons were to sweet. Next time, less sugar.

I got an eamil from my friend Lori a few days ago and she wanted me to make her a set of summer themed wordart that she could use to make a Brag Book Album for her kids summer pics. She gave me a whole list of titles that she wanted to use. I played around with them and if I do say so myself, I think they're pretty cute. Very simple in the styling. For all the "written" words I used the font Stephanie Marie JF and for the rest I used An Unfortunate Event Dewarped. I really like how they turned out and i'm definately going to use them for my summer pics too. So... for the next 2 weeks, maybe 3 weeks, you'll be getting each of these as your freebie. AIDENS BIRTHDAY!!!!!

TGIF! This has been a long week. It's been so hot in the night time that i've been having a hard time sleeping. Then of course, once I do get to sleep, the kids decide they're getting up at 6AM. Oh the trials of motherhood! LOL. Does anyone have any plans for this weekend? I think we're going into Calgary to do some shopping. I have to go to IKEA and get a new bookcase for my books. And possibly one for the kids. I wanted to find one with deep shelves so I can put some wicker baskets in them so the kids can have their toys and books and such in them. And of course while we're there we have to eat breakfast. They have the best breakfast for only$2! If you haven't had it before, I definately suggest you do.

I AM SOOOOO TIRED! I had a rough night with Aiden last night and i've only gotten about 3 hours sleep. The boy is almost 2 but he still sleeps like a newborn. I'm very lucky if I get one night a week that he actually sleeps longer than 20 minutes at a time! Emma looked at me a few minutes ago and said "Mommy, your eyes are scary". I didn't think I looked that bad until I actually got a chance to look in the mirror. YIKES! Scary!

Yesterday, I decided that I needed a new bookmark! I've been using a piece of paper from my notebook and I keep loosing it. I created this beautiful set of bookmarks using my new kit MAGICAL! Happy Monday Morning to you all! I hope that everyone had a great weekend, I know that I did. I didn't do anything special but I got to spend lots of quality time with my family. It was wonderful! On Saturday we went shopping at Walmart. Emma had been asking to go for days. We took the kids to McDonald's for lunch... chicken nuggets, fries, and happy meal puppie toys. The kids loved them. Usually when we go shopping, Aiden always fusses. It makes the whole experience almost unbearable. Well, I was a little smarter this time... I took Aiden's big, comfy stroller so he could lie back and take a nap. He slept for almost 2 hours and we actually got all of our shopping done! Yay! I needed some new containers so I bought 3 new packs of the Rubbermaid Take Alongs. I love them for freezing soups, stews and sauces in. The lids are great.

I was in some desperate need of some new books to read! I've read the whole Twilight Saga now at least 5 times and I was about to start reading New Moon again. I'm really into the whole Vampire genre so I was looking for that type of series. I found the NIGHT WORLD Series and it looks promising. It's written by L.J. Smith. There are 3 books in the series, with 3 stories per book. I started reading it yesterday and it's not bad. Her writing style is completely different from Stephenie Myers but once I got into it, I like it! She's also the author of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES! I gotta get that next!

On Sunday, we decided to stay at home and do some cooking and baking. I roasted a chicken and had some veggies for supper. It was awesome! I also baked 62 chocolate chip cookies! YUMMY! It sounds like a lot but I made them mini's so they're the perfect size for the kiddos. They love my cookies! After supper was eaten and all the dishes loaded into the dishwasher, I watched this weeks episode of TRUE BLOOD! I just love that show! I gotta get that book series too. Oh my.. so many books and not enough hours in the day to read them all. LOL.

Hey! Sorry I haven't been around the past few days but having 2 sick kids limits my computer time. They're feeling much better today but they're still under the weather. The two of them are cuddled up in the chair with a blankie watching The RugRats Big Movie! Aiden is totally addicted to them! As soon as he wakes up he starts asking for it. HI! How was your weekend? Mine was great! We started the de-weeding and that went well. We only have about another day or so and it should be finished. Then we have to spray the yard and hopefully next week it will be all ready to lay the sod, then the fence goes up too. Yay! I had a little time on Saturday and Sunday to work on my new kit. It's gonna be a nice one. Soft creams, beiges, with just a splash or two of red/fuschia/burgundy. I think it's gonna turn out nice. Hopefully it'll be finished for next week.

TGIF!!! Do you have any special plans for the weekend? We're hoping to get the back yard fully de-weeded and raked up on Saturday so we can order our grass sods next week. Yay! I can't wait to get the yard finished so the kids can get out there and play. They play on our patio now. It's only 12x12 so it's not much room to run around and be silly. They love it though, but i'm sure they'll love the grass soooooo much more. Before we start tomorrow, i'll take a before pick so you can see just how bad the weeds out there are. It's like a jungle! lol.

Hi All! I am soooo tired today! The past few nights the kids haven't been sleeping very well. Emma has been waking up screaming, she must be having nightmares. And Aiden is teething again so he's up every 20 minutes or so. If they don't sleep... I don't sleep. It was also so hot last night. We had the windows open and the fans on but it didn't help much. I feel like my head weighs a hundred pounds today. lol.

Hi Everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! And a belated HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the Dads out there and also to the Moms who act as both. We had a very quiet Fathers Day. The hubby was actually doing some landscaping. He's gotten the front yard deweeded and raked up. It looks pretty good too. The next step is to till the soil and get the grass seed planted. I have a few flowers in mind to plant in a little plot out front too. I'm gonna get those today at the garden center. The front definately needs a few splashes of color. I'm looking for a bench to put on the front steps too. Can't find one the right size though. I may have to get one custom built. Oh well.

I have 2 new releases for today in my store. The first is a brag book album created from my kit SPRING IS IN THE AIR. The second is a set of Brag Book Templates. It's a new CU item! Yay! I had a few emails last week asking if I created my own templates for my brag book albums or if I used someone elses. I created my own. Yay for me! LOL. This set includes 6 templates. Hi All! Hope everyone had a great weekend! On Saturday I decided that it was time for me to do some organizing! I have been in this house now since mid-December and I still haven't unpacked most of my things. The Hubby took care of the kids and I went to work upstairs. By the time lunchtime rolled around, I had unpacked a dozen boxes, thrown away 3 full garbage bags full of junk, cleaned my master suite, including the closets and bathroom, organized the kids rooms and their bathroom, plus I re-folded all of my blankets, linens, towels, facecloths in my linen closet too. Once I had eaten lunch, I went back up and vaccumed everything. It looks awesome up there now. This week i'm going to try and get down to my basement and start going through bags and boxes down there.

Sunday we went took it easy and went for a relaxing drive. It was sooooo hot it was nice to get in the truck and have some air conditioning! It really sucks that my house doesn't have central air! Yesterday I went back to the Dr and got my test results. So far I have low blood pressure, low Vitamin D, low Iron, and a possibility of Celiac Disease! I have to go back to the lab today and have more bloodwork done so they can test for the Celiac Disease. WOW! The low blood pressure, iron , and Vitamin D explains alot of my symptoms. I have to start taking meds for all of those and hopefully that'll clear things up.

When the Hubby got home from work yesterday, Emma ran to the door to meet him. The first thing she said was "Can we go to Walmart Daddy?" She doesn't forget a thing. We all went in a had a little look around. We spent alot of our trip in the garden center looking at stuff to do our lawn. It's full of weeds and rocks and is in desperate need of some grass. This weekend the Hubby is going to kill the weeds and rake up the rocks and weeds. In 3 weeks we can plant the grass seed, then a few weeks after that, we should have a nice green lawn. Or the starts of one anyway. LOL.

I saw some really cute sandals for Emma but there was none in her size. I'll have to check back next week. I was also looking at some scrapbooking supplies to see if I could get some ideas for a new kit. I found the cutest pack of nameplates that got me thinking....the colors were very bright and summery.I think i'll have to go back and have another look today. Maybe inspiration will strike again. LOL.

Good Morning All! How is your day so far? Mine has been very uneventful. The kids woke up, we had breakfast, and now they're watching Handy Manny on the tv. Nothing exciting... yet. lol. You never know what can happen when you have 2 kids. lol. I don't know if I have ever mentioned this, but, Emma loves Walmart! Everytime we even drive on the same road it's on, she assumes we are going there. Last night we went to the bank and it's on the same street as the Walmart. Emma started singing "We're going to Walmart, We're going to Walmart". When she realized that we weren't, she pitched a major fit! Screamed, cried, kicked the seats, etc... for almost 20 minutes! So, today after Hubby gets home form work, i'm taking her to Walmart to buy some new summer shoes. She needs pretty sandals and so does Aiden. I had also promised her Dora sandals a few weeks ago and she reminds me everyday. You wouldn't say that she was only 3 years old if you heard some of the things she says. It's hilarious!

She's only a little tiny thing but she takes up more room in my big Queen size bed than I do. Aiden came over at around 4 and snuggled down for a few hours too. I was so cozy and I had such sweet dreams.

Hi All. Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was pretty quiet. Stayed home and rested most of the weekend. I still feel pretty yucky. I have to go get some bloodwork and tests done tomorrow. SUCKS! But hopefully we'll soon know whats going on. I was feeling a little better yesterday so I decided that I would get a few wordart done for you all. It seems like forever ago that I gave you some. I got 8 new wordart for this week and part of next. They are all love/wedding/soul mate related. I have a kit in the works to correspond with the wordart but I just can't get around to it yet. I still haven't forgotten all of you wonderful ladies who posted your quotes for my contest... I'll get to thoses as soon as I can and let you know who won too.

NEW LAYOUTS: Update

Hi! So sorry I haven't been around lately. I got back from vacation and have not been feeling very well. Actually, I haven't been well for a while now. I am still feeling yucky but hopefully after I see the Dr again, i'll know what's going on. In the meanwhile, i've been trying to catch up on some scrapping. I haven't scrapped in months now. I decided to take a little break from designing and try to catch up on a few things. I have created all of these really cute kits and thought it would be nice to make some layouts with them. I usually create my layouts 8x10 so when I print them, I can put them in my matted 10x13 frames. I also print them in 5x7 for the kids rooms. These new layouts are all using pictures from our vacation. I hope you like them.

Hi All, sorry I haven't been around the last few days but i've been busy packing for my vacation! Yay! We fly out of Calgary at 11:40 PM, Thursday night. I just hope that the kids sleep the whole flight. It's only 5 & 1/2 hours 'til our first stop-over in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We have 3 hours there. That gives us enough time to go and get breakfast, let the kids run around a bit, freshen up and prepare for seeing our family back home. It's only an hour and a half or less from Halfax to NL. I am sooooooooooooooooooooo excited! lol.

While i'm gone, I was hopeing to have some wordart done for you all as freebies but I just didn't get the chance to get any done. But... instead.... I though that I would have a cool little contest to keep you going until I come back. All I need you to do is write a comment in this post with your favorite quote that you would like to see as a wordart. You can post as many as you want, but, each quote has to be in a seperate post. I took Aiden to have his vaccinations yesterday. He was very well behaved and he only cried a little when the nurse gave him his 3 needles. When she was finished, he looked at her, grabbed her by the finger and said in his cutest little voice... Thank You. lol. It was so sweet. The nurse said in her 25 years of being a nurse, no little baby has ever thanked her for needles. LOL. He's definately a sweetie!
